Offering students to study at the Kyushu university, the scheme aims to foster the nation’s future leaders, maintain good relations with Kyushu University and play the role of point of contact to cultivate joint research and bring in external capital depending on their course or career after graduation. This scholarship offers 80,000 yen per month for undergraduate students 100,000 yen per month for graduate students and travel expenses up to 100,000 yen.

UNU-IAS PhD Scholarships, Japan

The scholarship calls for post graduates for its PhD programme in Sustainability Science to take an innovative approach to promote a better understanding of global perspective related to climate change and biodiversity. Students who have done PhD in one of the UNU-IAS research themes focusing on global change and sustainability are eligible to apply. The scholarship covers monthly allowance of 150,000 JPY (Japanese Yen) and full tuition fee.
